+++ title = "about" +++

CHANGELOG this is a demo of zola running on sublimated.

how it works

  1. push a folder with config.toml containing base_url via git

  2. sublimated detects it as a zola site and sends text files to the zola builder (WASM)

  3. binary assets (images, fonts) are stored in CAS and served from the CDN

  4. the built HTML is stored and served at the folder's URL

  5. build status shows as a green/red dot in the folder toolbar

what's supported

  • markdown content with TOML frontmatter

  • tera templates (base, section, page)

  • syntax highlighting via giallo (40+ themes, 200+ languages)

  • custom shortcodes (warning, note, figure, details)

  • taxonomies (tags, categories) with auto-generated listing pages

  • table of contents (auto-generated from headings)

  • internal links with compile-time validation (@/path/to/file.md)

  • reading time and word count

  • Atom/RSS feeds

  • clean URLs (/about/ instead of /about.html)

  • summary/excerpt via <!-- more --> separator

  • dark mode (respects system preference)

  • image URL resolution to sublimated CDN

what's coming

  • sass/scss compilation (separate Rust/WASM worker using grass crate)

  • search index generation with client-side search

  • image processing (resize, crop, responsive srcset)
