what is sublimated?

a cloud platform for your files. sync from Mac (or push with git), and everything is versioned, rendered, and shareable with a link. notes, photos, websites, documents, data — all in one place.

how does hosting work?

your files are stored on Cloudflare R2 in the EU. when you push a file, it's live immediately. static sites (zola, mdx) build in <1 second via WASM. no build queue, no CI pipeline.

where is my data?

EU (Ireland). all storage, database, and compute run in Cloudflare's EU region. data never leaves the EU unless you explicitly share a public link.

custom domains?

yes. every folder can have a *.sublimated.com subdomain (e.g. kanapka.sublimated.com) or your own domain (e.g. mysite.com). set up via config.yml or the settings UI. see the domains guide.

is it free?

sublimated is in early access. currently free during the preview period.

what file types are supported?

markdown, obsidian vaults, photos, videos, PDFs, typst, LaTeX, spreadsheets (xlsx, csv), jupyter notebooks, marimo notebooks, mermaid diagrams, d2 diagrams, excalidraw, geojson maps, zola sites, mdx pages, marp/reveal.js presentations, and plain files of any type.

is it private?

private by default. only you can see your files unless you explicitly share them. you control access per folder — public, private, or shared with specific people.

how does versioning work?

every change creates a new version. you can browse, compare, or restore any previous version. under the hood, it's git — you can clone any folder with a standard git client.

how is it different from netlify / vercel / static.app?

sublimated is not just a static host. it's a versioned file platform that also serves websites. you get git history, file rendering, photos, notes, and static sites — all from the same folder. no build config, no deploy step, no CI.

is there an API?

yes. REST API at api.sublimated.com. create spaces, manage files, versions, branches, domains, and access rules programmatically. auth via bearer tokens.

mac app?

download from the App Store. sync any folder — changes appear on sublimated.com in seconds. iPhone app coming soon.

git support?

every URL path is a git repo. clone any folder: git clone https://sublimated.com/yourspace/folder.git. push with standard git. see the git docs.
